Description of the Route
Please join us for a Pinnacles Day Tour where you can explore some of the West Coast’s most beautiful natural areas. Experience the beauty of the Pinnacles and enjoy the opportunity to see wildlife in their native habitat.
Take a break from urban living and explore some of Western Australia’s top natural attractions for a day.
After 1.5 hours from Perth, we stop at Lancelin’s lookout. It is home to the largest network of dunes in Western Australia. The snow-white dunes contrast with the turquoise waters of the Indian Ocean. Shake the sand out of your shoes before we go to the Nilgen Nature Reserve. In this region, there are many flora and fauna. We’ll walk through a variety of wildflowers, including banksias, bottlebrushes, heath, grass trees, and kangaroo paws. If the flowers are not visible, we’ll go to Hangover Bay. You can relax in the clear waters or spot dolphins and sea lions.
We recommend a visit to Nambung National Park to see the unique Pinnacles Desert at sunset. The Pinnacles, composed of shells, have been around for millions of years since the land was submerged under the sea. It is advisable to explore the area at dusk when the crowds disperse and the numerous limestone pillars emerge from the desert, creating an eerie and lunar-like ambience as the colours of the rocks change.
Guests can enjoy a picnic dinner along with a glass of local wine, all included, while they watch a stunning light show of natural wonders underneath the sky. As the night falls, they can marvel at the extraordinary beauty of the stars and planets twinkling high above. They can also listen attentively as ancient stories of the Aboriginal Dreamtime are shared, while they contemplate objects that are light-years away.
