Whale Shark Tours Exmouth

The Perth to Exmouth tour starts in Perth at 7:25 am and heads north along the coast. During the tour, you will have lunch by the Indian Ocean and take a walk through the fascinating rock formations of the Pinnacles Desert. You will pass through Geraldton in the evening before spending the night in Kalbarri.

Today, you can explore the breathtaking Kalbarri National Park. You can hike to Nature’s Window and witness the stunning rock formations. The Z Bend trail will take you to Murchinson Gorge for incredible park views. In the afternoon, head towards Shark Bay and visit a beach filled with white cockle shells. You will spend the night in Monkey Mia.

Begin your day with an exciting adventure by abseiling down the gorge walls in Kalbarri National Park with Kalbarri Abseil. No prior experience is needed as training will be given on-site. All equipment will be provided. Capture the memories by taking photos on your camera, while non-participating guests can also take pictures for you. This adventure can be arranged during your tour. 

In the morning, you can witness the Monkey Mia Dolphins swimming towards the shore and being hand-fed in knee-deep water. Afterwards, you can relax on the beautiful coastline before visiting the Stromatolites. These are multi-layered rock formations formed by a single-celled microbe. They are still alive and are believed to be 3.7 billion years old. Later tonight, you will travel and stay overnight on the edge of the Ningaloo Reef in Coral Bay.

Explore the Ningaloo Reef in Coral Bay. Snorkel the vibrant reefs right off the beach. Take a tour to explore the reefs further. Relax on the beach and enjoy the sun. Then, travel to Exmouth in the evening.

The meals provided are breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The accommodation is in Potshot Hotel Resort Backpacker Dorms or a similar place with shared bathroom facilities. Several options include swimming with Manta Rays, snorkelling at Ningaloo Reef, and taking glass-bottom boat tours. Guests cannot book Whaleshark Swims on this day as they return after the bus has left Coral Bay. The driving distance is 155km, categorized as Grade 1.

Visitors can swim with Manta Rays on the Ningaloo Reef with Coral Bay Ecotours. Still, please note that this activity is only available for competent swimmers and requires snorkelling.

You can enjoy a 5-6 hour tour of the Ningaloo Reef with Coral Bay Ecotours. The tour includes all necessary equipment, such as a short wetsuit, morning and afternoon tea, and a buffet lunch of cold meats and salads. During the tour, you can witness the captivating dance of the manta rays and participate in two snorkelling sessions to view the stunning fish, corals, sea turtles, and reef sharks. Additionally, you will have the chance to visit the turtle sanctuary and observe turtles coming up for air in the shallows.

Experience a glass-bottom boat tour on the Ningaloo Reef with Coral Bay Ecotours.

Take a tour of the Ninglao Reef with Coral Bay Ecotours. They have a glass bottom boat for you to see the fish and corals. You can choose between 1, 2, or 3 hours. The 1-hour tour is just for viewing. The 2-hour tour includes viewing and a snorkel site. The 3-hour tour includes viewing, snorkelling, and visiting the turtle sanctuary. You can watch turtles feed and breathe in the shallows. The skipper may even try to bring the turtles under the glass for you. Snorkel tours include equipment.

Booking for Whaleshark Swims on [day 4] is impossible as they return after the bus departs from Coral Bay. It is essential to complete all optional activities in Coral Bay by 3:45-4:00 pm. 

Today, you will explore Cape Range National Park. You will see rugged limestone ranges, deep canyons, and 50km of pristine beaches. You can visit Turquoise Bay, Vlamingh Head Lighthouse, relax at Milyering Visitors Center, and more. The tour will finish in the late afternoon, making it an incredible day to end your Perth to Exmouth tour.

You can swim with Whalesharks (Mar-Sep) or Humpback whales (Aug-Oct), but pre-booking is required. The driving distance is 135km, and the hiking distance is 1km, with a Grade 1-2 difficulty level.

The Exmouth Dive Centre offers opportunities to swim with Whalesharks and Humpback Whales during their seasonal period from March to August. Please note that this activity is limited to competent swimmers and involves snorkelling.

Join Exmouth Dive Centre for a day on the water. Start with a reef snorkel, where you can see coral gardens and fish. You might even see turtles or reef sharks! Then, they’ll search for humpback whales and whale sharks with a spotter plane. The humpback whale swim depends on the whales’ willingness to participate. If they don’t, the plane will search for another group. All equipment is provided, including wetsuits if needed. They also offer morning and afternoon tea and a buffet lunch.
